When we learned that 2026 would be the Year of the Horse, we were inspired to include a small, meaningful nod to it in Isabella's nursery. We loved the symbolism of the horse and wanted to incorporate it in a way that felt elegant and timeless rather than themed.

Recently for our first wedding anniversary, we took a trip to Taos, New Mexico, where we stumbled across a beautiful silk scarf featuring two horses. We immediately fell in love with its color palette and knew it was too special to leave behind. Instead of wearing it, we decided to frame it and make it the centerpiece of the nursery.

That single piece became the inspiration for the entire room. Its palette gave us a way to create a space that felt feminine without relying on pink, while the horses added a quiet western influence that felt timeless rather than themed.
